This Cookie Policy explains how Plantastics uses cookies and similar browser technologies on its website.

1) What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or an external service may store on your device.

Websites may also use similar browser technologies, such as local storage or session storage, which can perform technical functions without being traditional cookies.

These technologies may be used for purposes such as:

  • Operating website features

  • Maintaining security

  • Remembering certain visitor actions or preferences

  • Preventing spam or automated submissions

  • Providing embedded third-party functionality

  • Analytics or marketing where those technologies are enabled

2) Current Plantastics website configuration

The Plantastics website is currently built using Hostinger Website Builder.

Plantastics does not currently have the following tracking integrations enabled through Hostinger Website Builder:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google Tag

  • Google Tag Manager

  • Meta Pixel

  • Hotjar

We do not currently use those integrations for advertising, behavioural tracking or website analytics.

Hostinger states that websites created using its AI Builder manual mode do not use cookies by default and that cookie use depends on the integrations and functionality added to the website.

However, Plantastics also uses embedded third-party services, including Kit forms, which may use their own cookies or similar technologies as described below.

3) Essential website functionality

The website and the services used to deliver it may process technical information or use browser technologies where reasonably necessary to:

  • Display and operate the website

  • Maintain security and reliability

  • Provide forms and other website functions

  • Prevent fraudulent or automated submissions

  • Deliver features requested by the visitor

Some of these technologies may be considered necessary for the relevant functionality.

The exact technical behaviour of infrastructure and service providers may change as their services are updated.

4) Kit forms

Plantastics currently uses Kit for:

  • Newsletter subscription

  • Newsletter confirmation

  • Delivery of newsletter-related resources

  • Pre-launch Seed, Sprout and Canopy interest forms

  • Related subscriber and form functionality

Kit may use cookies and similar technologies in connection with its forms.

For example, Kit states that it uses a cookie to remember whether a visitor has previously subscribed through a form.

Kit forms may also use anti-spam technologies such as CAPTCHA or similar security mechanisms.

These technologies are used to operate the forms, manage subscriptions and reduce fraudulent or automated submissions rather than for Plantastics behavioural advertising.

5) CAPTCHA and anti-spam protection

Plantastics may enable invisible CAPTCHA or other anti-spam protection on Kit forms.

Where Google reCAPTCHA is used, Google states that reCAPTCHA may set a necessary cookie called _GRECAPTCHA in order to perform risk analysis and distinguish legitimate visitors from automated activity.

The CAPTCHA provider may also process limited technical information required to provide the security functionality.

CAPTCHA is used for security and spam prevention, not by Plantastics for behavioural advertising.

6) Ask Savia

Plantastics uses custom website code to provide Ask Savia, Plantastics’ digital customer guide.

Ask Savia communicates with Plantastics’ backend systems in order to process a visitor’s message and return a response.

Ask Savia is not intended to operate as an advertising or behavioural-marketing tracker.

Plantastics is continuing to verify the complete browser-side behaviour of the Ask Savia experience, including whether any:

  • Local storage

  • Session storage

  • Cookies

  • Other browser-side storage

are used and, where applicable, how long that information remains on the visitor’s device.

This section will be updated if further browser-side technologies are identified or if the Ask Savia configuration changes.

7) Analytics and marketing technologies

Plantastics does not currently have the following Hostinger tracking integrations enabled:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google Tag

  • Google Tag Manager

  • Meta Pixel

  • Hotjar

If Plantastics enables analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, this Cookie Policy and the website’s consent mechanism will be reviewed and updated before those technologies are relied upon.

Where required, optional analytics or marketing technologies will not be activated until the visitor has provided the relevant consent.

8) Advertising campaigns

Plantastics may use external advertising platforms to direct visitors to the Plantastics website during its pre-launch validation activities.

Visiting the Plantastics website through an advertisement does not by itself mean that Plantastics has installed an advertising tracking cookie on the website.

If Plantastics later enables technologies such as the Meta Pixel, Google advertising tags or similar conversion-tracking technologies, this policy and the website cookie-consent configuration will be updated before those technologies are used.

9) Cookie consent controls

Where the Plantastics website uses technologies that require visitor consent, Plantastics aims to provide appropriate cookie controls.

Depending on the website configuration, visitors may be able to:

  • Accept optional cookies

  • Reject optional cookies

  • Choose between different categories

  • Change their preferences later

Necessary technologies used to provide requested functionality or maintain website security may operate independently of optional analytics or advertising consent where permitted by applicable law.

10) Managing browser data

You can also use your browser settings to view, restrict or delete cookies and other stored website data.

Blocking or deleting necessary browser data may affect the operation of some website features, including forms, security functions or saved preferences.

Browser controls vary depending on the browser and device you use.

11) Third-party services

Some Plantastics website functions depend on third-party providers.

These may include:

  • Hostinger — website hosting and website functionality

  • Kit — forms, newsletter and subscriber management

  • Google or another CAPTCHA provider — where used for spam and security protection

  • Vercel and OpenAI — infrastructure and processing associated with Ask Savia

These services may use cookies, browser storage or technical information according to their own technical configuration and privacy arrangements.

Plantastics aims to use only the functionality reasonably required for the relevant purpose.

12) Changes to this policy

Plantastics may update this Cookie Policy if:

  • Website functionality changes

  • New integrations are added

  • Advertising or analytics technologies are enabled

  • Existing providers change their technical behaviour

  • Applicable legal requirements change

The latest version will be published on the Plantastics website with an updated date.
